Basically, I have nothing to write for the fifth week because I didn't go anywhere :(
I was back to my second host family and I actually got used to it except there was this still unacceptable which was the smoking problem lol.
14th December 2015 - 20th December 2015
Ohh, forgot to tell one very important thing! I cooked for the host family!
So proud of myself heh
But I only cooked for 2 days consecutively lah, didn't cook for the whole week hahaha if not I'll die wth
Didn't managed to take photos of my dishes cos it was quite embarrassing to ask everyone to wait for me to take photos first haha
However, I took one! For the most important of all - Bak Kut Teh
Actually I took the photo of Bak Kut Teh after they finished eating lolol so no difference also
 |
| The Bak Kut Teh that I cooked, I know it looks oily :/ But it tasted okay heh |
 |
| Christmas Party with the class 701! Received presents and feeling very pleased :) |
 |
| Violin performance! |
 |
| With the students! |
 |
| Group shot with the kids |
 |
| Steamboat with another class and I enjoyed eating the 沙茶酱 a lot omg! |
That day was Friday, so my host family brought me to 板桥 to see the lights.
But I don't seemed to be fascinated hahahaha because I think Pavilion, KL one is nicer.
 |
| The fake Venice hahaha Genting one or Venetian one better |
 |
| This is the card that class 701 made it for me! Too many wishes, I cannot :/ |
During this weekend, I didn't go for a day trip. Instead, my host family brought me to Costco - an American supermarket.
I wasn't fascinated until I saw the food section. OMG, HEAVEN!
Why I said so? Because they have lots of testing stalls and they weren't stingy at all, trust me. All meat were in huge pieces.
I tried few of' them, but I only took one of the sushi photo.
 |
| Tadaaa! |
Huge piece, isn't it?
And it was freaking thick hahaha. Many people queued for it but we were standing on the first. By the time the people from behind wanted to try, also habis, cos everyone's been taking and taking.
US supermarket memang ada quality. Lol
 |
| Look at all the sushi, so deliciously packed! |
 |
| The big packs of snacks |
After we done the groceries shopping, we had our lunch at the outside of the counter.
They have this small stalls selling western food. Small stall but huge crowd.
So I ended up eating this.
 |
| Hot dog! |
It was initially bun and the hot dog, but they provide unlimited onions, pickles, and sauces.
I squeezed the sauces that I like as you can see above - mustard, tomato and many raw minced onions.
So delicious. Hmm
Soon after we left, the host family decided to bring me to their hometown. We bought Ginger Duck (it isn't really tasted like ginger, it was more like herbs)
 |
| The place where they sell Ginger Duck - most famous in Long Tan |
Their hometown was just next to Long Tan - it is called Ping Zhen 平镇
About 15 mins to reach, started to prepare for dinner.
There were lots of relatives and I wasn't really awkward though hahaha But I was quiet all time.
We had steamboat with the soup from ginger duck. I think they sort of ruined it cos they want more of the soup, so they added rice wine (the chinese one) to it. The taste wasn't bad la, but it was full of alcohol taste. I saw some of the kids started to have blushes on their cheeks.
That was too much of wine I think. It would be better if they don't add too much to it.
 |
| Here's a picture of their hometown, quite kampung but okay la since it's hometown |
Went back home at approximately 9 pm and had some dessert that they bought from the supermarket
 |
| Ice cream waffles! |
 |
| It was damn good, no joke. |
This was my second host family's house. I forgot to take the picture last time. So here's it.
 |
| The son playing computer games. |
 |
| Living room |
 |
| The room that I was staying throughout the week |
Yeap, so that's it for the fifth week!
Bye!
Lots of love,
